ADULT (Daoine Fásta):

 

The seniors exited the intermediate Championship on Sunday afternoon. They were beaten by neighbours Owen Roe's 2-12 to 1-07. Despite going in at half time all square Urney battled til the end. Focus now will shift to the league and hopefully the boys can bounce back and finish the season strong.

YOUTH (An tAos Óg):

 

Training for Under 16 girls continues this Wednesday at 6.30pm at pitch. All new and returning players are welcome to attend. The girls had a great result last week beating Rock 7-4 to 3-7 in the league. Their next game is away to Owen Roe's this Tuesday 17th, throw in 6.30. They also have a home fixture on Sunday morning against Clan na Gael, throw in at 11.00. All support would be greatly appreciated.

 

Underage training continues on Thursday. Training for U6, U8, U10 & U12 will take place at the pitch from 7 to 8. New players always welcome.

We will also be taking orders for club gear upstairs in the club rooms during youth training.

Orders will close on 25th September, so get your orders in now. They would make a great Christmas present.

 

Our U10s took part in a blitz last a Saturday in Newtownstewart. Urney had 22 young boys and girls and we were able to field 2 teams which is great to see.

The annual Dickie Duffy U16 memorial blitz will take place Saturday 28th Sept with a 12.30 start. Invitations have been issued to neighbouring clubs and more details will be given out prior to the event. We are on the look out for a sponsor for the event to help with costs etc. If you are interested please contact Club Secretary Veronica McMenamin, youth officer Vincent Langan or message the Facebook page.

The club lotto numbers for Monday 16th September were, 8, 9, 20, 24. No jackpot winner. No match 3 winner. Next Week’s Jackpot - £1,700.
