The Under 8 & 10 boys are training this Thursday (15th) from 7 > 8 pm. Our U10’s travelled to Derrytresk last Thursday (8th) for a friendly match. We have a few lads still on holiday, so we had a tight squad, but they gave a good account of themselves. It was back down to the Loughshore then on Saturday (10th) to Derrylaughan for an U10 blitz. We could only gather up one team, but they served up some very entertaining football showing great commitment. Thanks to the Derrylaughan club for a well organized blitz and great hospitality afterwards. This Saturday (17th), we will host an U8 blitz.

The U12 boys have a home game v Eskra Thursday (15th) night at 7.30 pm. All players to meet at the pitch for 7 pm.

Our U8 & U10 girls train on Fridays from 6.30 to 7.30pm, as always new members are welcome. All help from parents is also greatly appreciated.

The U12 girls have a game away to Moy tonight (Wednesday 14th).

Our U16 girls were away to Ardboe Tuesday (13th) evening and they faced a very strong side but our girls worked very hard throughout the game, with all 20 girls playing their part but Ardboe ran out winners in the end. Next up, we host Clonoe on Tuesday the 20th, with a 7:30pm throw in. Training continues on Thursday evening at 6:15pm.

The U16's lads hosted Kildress last Thursday 8th August in Round 3 of the Grade 1 league. The boys continued their improvement of recent weeks and put in a very good display. There were excellent performances from Dara Nugent, Eoin McGlinchy, Liam Traynor, Conor McCool and Michael Gormley. Unfortunately a couple of goals conceded in the second half were the difference between the two sides. Final score Kildress 2-16 to Killeeshil 0-16. The lads are in action again this Thursday 15th August with an away game with Eglish at 7.15pm

The minor lads were beaten after extra time in the Championship on Monday (12th) night away to Dromore. The lads put in a brilliant performance with only 16 players available on a night when we lost Paul O’Neill to injury early on and the loss of 2 others to very dubious cards, just made the task impossible in the end. Well done to the lads for their efforts all year. Thanks to the management team of Colm Rafferty, Dermot Fox and Eugene Skeffington for their hard work with this bunch of players during the year.

The senior ladies hosted Dromore on Monday (12th) evening in their 9th round league game and we ran out convincing winners on a score line of 6:8 til 0:9. Up next is this Friday (16th) evening, again at home against Omagh with a 7:30pm throw in. All support is welcome for the girls who have now secured a league semi-final spot. Good luck to all going forward.

Our reserve and senior men travelled to Killyman last Saturday (10th) as they returned to league action. The reserve men were first in action and we were dominant from the start all over the field. An exhibition in shooting from Rory McCann (2-8) assisted by long range points from Ronan O’Neill, Mark Monaghan and Conor Holland saw us run out victorious on the day. Final score Killeeshil 3-18 Killyman 2-4. Our senior men then made their return to competitive action and after a slow start, we got on top all over the pitch as Tomas Hoy (3-4), Packie McMullan, Liam Hughes, Rory McCann all goaled as we finished comfortable winners. Final score Killeeshil 6-15 Killyman 1-8. Senior and reserve training continues this Tuesday and Friday nights at 8 pm as we get ready for league games this Sunday (18th) at home to Derrytresk. Reserve game is at 5.30pm with Senior throw-in at 7pm. All support is much appreciated.
