Urney St. Columba's - Club Notes
August 13, 2019ADULT (Daoine Fásta):
After a break of almost 2 months the senior team were back in action. Urney hosted Stewartstown on Friday night and came away with 2 vital points, winning 3-10 to 1-13, congratulations to the players and management, special thanks as well to Syl Loughrey and his business Today Express for sponsoring the match ball. Next up is a home game against Augher. Game is currently scheduled for 7pm on Sunday 18th August. Let's all get out and support the team for this important home fixture.
YOUTH (An tAos Óg):
Training for Under 16 girls continues this Wednesday at 6.30pm at pitch. All new and returning players are welcome to attend.
Underage training continues on Thursday. Training for U6, U8, U10 & U12 will take place at the pitch from 7 to 8. New players always welcome.
Youth membership can be paid to Cathal McGowan at youth training on Thursday night. Family - £50, Under 6 - £10, Under 8 to Under 16 - £20. Forms are available and must be filled in.

TYRONE (Tír Eoghain)
Tyrone were beaten by Kerry in the All Ireland semi final on sunday afternoon. Both the players and management gave their all this year and fell just short, but we would like to thank them all for their effort and hard work.
CONDOLENCES (Comhbhrón)
Urney GAA is saddened today to learn of the passing of Veronica Dunne (née Brennan), 6 Townsend Street, Strabane.
Beloved wife of Aiden, much loved mother of Grainne, Sorcha, Clodagh and Fiona, dearly loved grandmother of Fianna, Connlai, Tomas, Aoibh, Eoghan and the late baby Dualta.
Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, daughters, sons-in-law, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, wider family circle and friends.
Veronica was the sister of long serving committee worker Mary Campbell.
As a mark of respect all club activities will be cancelled until after the funeral.
Mary queen of gaels pray for them.
