Thurles Sarsfields coach Paddy McCormack admits that the better team won on the day in their Munster club SHC semi-final defeat to Na Piarsaigh.

The Limerick champions remain unbeaten in the provincial campaign in their history as they seek a third title at this level.

A late goal for Na Piarsaigh sealed their fate and McCormack admitted to the Tipperary Star that the better team won on the day.

"We have no excuses, the field was top class and the preparation coming into the game was as good as we could get," said McCormack.

"The best team won on the day. We probably needed a bit more on the board by half time. We had a chance just before half time which went over the bar. If that had gone in, who knows? We have no complaints about anything."
