The new Tipperary GAA sponsor is expected to be announced shortly with sports retailer Elverys Intersport being touted as replacements for Skoda.

It was confirmed yesterday that Skoda will not be extending their lucrative deal with Tipp which has been running since 2011. It's believed that the car manufacturer invested in the region of €1 million in Tipperary GAA in that time, with the sponsorship having covered both the hurling and football codes and included all inter-county teams from minor to senior.

If a deal with Elvery's Intersport is struck, it's expected that the Intersport logo will feature on the front of the new Tipp jersey, with Elvery's on the back. Elvery's already have a long-standing sponsorship arrangement with Mayo.
