"Thank God we have another day"

Tipperary midfielder Shane McGrath is delighted to have another shot at All-Ireland glory.

Despite coming within a whisker of winning the Liam McCarthy Cup when John O'Dwyer's late free drifted narrowly wide, Tipp were every bit as relieved as Kilkenny to have a replay to look forward to after coming from three points down in the closing stages.

"What an advertisement for the game of hurling. The two teams were absolutely spent, every one of us. We gave it our all, it came down to a bit of technology after it all," McGrath told RTE Radio.

"We have another day out and please God we get another day like that, it's being a great one.

"We've great respect for Kilkenny and they have great respect for us. Fair play to 'Bubbles', he had the bottle (to take the free). He's only a young lad. To come up and take the free and there was only the width of the post in it.

"There is some belief in this team, we never say die and it will be the same the next day. I think the performance is down to the management team and the belief we have in ourselves. We never gave up and that's why we are back here in three weeks' time."
