"The attitude is a bit like Kevin Keegan at Newcastle"

Former Tipperary great Declan Browne
Former Tipperary football great Declan Browne is excited by the 'buzz' surrounding Peter Creedon's side as they prepare to tackle Galway in the All-Ireland SF qualifiers in Tullamore today.

And the two-time All-Star has high hopes that they can qualify for a place in the last eight at the expense of the Tribesmen.

"When we played, you were written off automatically and that does creep into your mind. The beauty of it is that this bunch couldn't care less who they play," he opined to the Irish Times.

"Going back to the All-Ireland minor win of 2011, there was a buzz which seems to be increasing every year. It is like anything in life: you must get the results to get the following.

"This year we are going about it the right way but Saturday is going to be a bigger test and I think we need to take out a big gun to really drive home our progress."

The Moyles Rovers clubman hailed the influence of team manager Peter Creedon.

"I put a lot of it down to Peter. He had a lot of these guys since minor and they know what he wants and he knows their capabilities are.

"And we have players who can put it over the bar. The attitude is a bit like Kevin Keegan at Newcastle: we will score more. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt us!

"It is good in a way but we have to learn how to close up shop too.

"If you want to play with the big boys, the gung ho style may not always be the way to go. I do think that this is a great draw for both Tipperary and Galway.

"They will both fancy it and will both go for it."
