Largest Football Mosaic - World Record Attempt

June 17, 2013
Tipperary Ladies Gaelic Football Association is promoting their game by attempting to break a world record which is currently in the Guinness Book of Records. This initiative will also be a fundraiser with the proceeds raised being used to help develop Ladies Football within Tipperary.

The World Record we have chosen is the 'Largest football mosaic'.
The current record (current as at the date of this letter) is: The largest football mosaic measured 9.75 m (32 ft) in length and 5.94 m (19.5 ft) in width giving a total area of 57.92 m² (624 ft²) and was achieved by BMO Bank of Montreal (Canada) at Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto, Canada, on 5 July 2012.

Our World Record attempt will take place in the Moyle Rovers GAA Grounds, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary on Saturday July 6th at 12 noon and we look forward to a huge County participation in the event. We estimate that there will be over 500 people in attendance.

Any media coverage of this event in advance or on the day would be appreciated.

We look forward to working with you our quest to break this world record.
