Minors gear up for Cork test

May 09, 2013
Tipperary host Cork in the Munster MFC at Thurles next Wednesday evening, May 15th.

With a place in the provincial minor football championship final up for grabs, this is a huge game for both counties.

The game has a 7:30pm throw-in and the winners will go on to face either Kerry or Waterford in the final on July 7th.

Tipp boast a good record against the Rebels at this level in recent years. In 2012, they won their semi-final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh by 1-10 to 0-9.

A year earlier, the sides met in the Munster final, with the Premier County also coming out on top.

This year, Tipperary beat Clare by 1-10 to 0-8 in their opener at Ennis on April 20th. Cork have benefited from two outings against Kerry, winning the replay to get to the last four.
