Under 16 finals
Well done to all the clubs that played in our under 16 championships to Ann Slattery, Karol Mc Carthy and the fixtures committee for havening all the games finished on time. A total of fifthy eight games were played.
Cahir retained their under 16 A crown for the fourth year in a row when they defeated Clonmel Commercials in the final. Moyle Rovers were their opponents in the semi-final and Templemore had a four points lose to Commercials in the other semi- final. Both semi-finals were well contested and the future of all four clubs looks bright.
Aherlow retained their under16 B title when they had a good win over Cappawhite on Sunday last.Fethard and Brian Borus were the two defeated semi-finalist.
Our C champions are Mullinahone who were much too strong for Moycarkey on a score line of 4-13 to 1-3. These two teams defeated Arravale Rovers and Ardfinnan in the semi-finals.
On Sunday evening last in Littleton Sliabh Na mBan and Upperchurch contested the D final with Donal Leahy in charge of the whistle. For some reason or other Upperchurch fielded without some of their stronger players and so it was an easy victory for the girls from the South on a score line 5-8 to 1-2. We wish all girls sitting Junior cert Leaving cert or third level
exams the best if look.
The County under 14 panel will travel to St Lomans G.A.A club in Mullingar on Saturday next
