Declan Ryan expressed satisfaction with Tipperary's performance in their Waterford Crystal Cup extra-time victory over Cork in Templemore last Sunday.

Tipp will now face Clare in the final on March 4 - a week after their glamour Allianz Hurling League opener against Kilkenny at Nowlan Park.

"We missed a few goal chances, but it was nice to come out of tight game like that and win it. That's something that we would be very happy about I suppose," the Tipp manager said.

"It's early days yet. I suppose the boys are in heavy training at the moment and some of the shooting was a bit off there, but I think we're very happy overall with the performance." Tweet
