Sean Walsh finds Tipperary's snub of the Interprovincial football series "disappointing".

Tipperary football manager John Evans made none of his players available to the Munster squad due to face Leinster in the interprovincial semi-final at Parnell Park this weekend, citing prior training commitments, but Munster Council chairman Walsh isn't happy with this stance.

"It's very unfortunate Tipp haven't supplied players to the panel," he says in the Examiner. "Having done so the last time Munster were involved, we expected to have at least three players from the county on this panel. We were informed by John Evans on Monday that due to training commitments already made, there wouldn't be any Tipperary players available.

"From our point of view, that is disappointing. It's also important to remember it was the counties who wanted the Railway Cup brought back, not the provincial council.

"If they wanted it to be played, they should have made a commitment to it to provide players. We are very happy with the Munster hurling panel and the commitment that has been shown by all counties towards Liam Sheedy and his management team."
