Premier County to don pink
January 20, 2012
Tipperary's hurlers have agreed to play in pink as part of a novel fundraiser.
Declan Ryan's brave charges will pull on the pink shirts for a challenge match against a Munster XV managed by former Tipp boss Liam Sheedy at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh on Saturday, January 28th.
Proceeds from the match will be donated to Breast Cancer Ireland. In keeping with the theme, sports kit manufacturers O'Neill's have sponsored jerseys for both teams.
Pink will be the prominent colour in both camps as a pink ribbon is synonymous with the charity in question.
A number of prizes will also be raffled on the night as the two managers continue their preparations for the forthcoming national hurling league and interprovincial series respectively.
