Tipp debuts for Cahill and O'Meara

Tipperary's Michael Cahill and Galway's David Burke during the NHL.
Michael Cahill and Brian O'Meara are the newcomers to the Tipperary team for Sunday's Munster SHC quarter-final against Cork.

Thurles Sarsfields clubman Cahill is named at left half back, while O'Meara of Kilruane McDonaghs starts at full forward. O'Meara's inclusion will come as a surprise to many as he only joined the panel earlier this month and has never played a competitive game at senior level.

The introduction of O'Meara and former double All-Ireland minor winner Cahill means Tipperary field 13 of the team that started last year's All-Ireland final loss to Kilkenny, with James Woodlock and Pat Kerwick missing out through injury.

There are three positional changes from that game with Brendan Maher moving to midfield, Noel McGrath switching to right half forward and Eoin Kelly going to right corner forward.

Tipperary (SH v Cork): B Cummins; P Stapleton, P Maher, P Curran; D Fanning, C O'Mahony, M Cahill; B Maher, S McGrath; N McGrath, S Callanan, J O'Brien; E Kelly, B O'Meara, L Corbett.
