"Dublin wanted it more" - Sheedy

March 01, 2010

Former Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy
Liam Sheedy has conceded that Dublin were full value for their nine-point victory over Tipp.

The Sky Blues bounced back from their first-round defeat to Waterford by dismantling the Premier County in stunning fashion at Parnell Park on Sunday afternoon and losing manager Sheedy was quick to admit that the Dubs had more fire in their bellies:

"They outworked us, outmuscled us, won every battle and won every line. They were deserving winners.

"We could have done with more game time. No matter how much you do at home it doesn't add up to enough when you come out to competitive action.

"But there's no excuses - we got the perfect start but throughout the field Dublin wanted it more."
