Sheedy: I'll talk to TV stations

Former Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy
Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy will be making himself available for TV interviews ahead of Sunday week's Munster SHC final, despite the GPA's television blackout. The GPA has urged its members not to give interviews to RTE or TV3 on the day of the Munster hurling and Leinster football finals on July 12 in protest at the GAA's continued refusal to grant them official recognition, but Sheedy says as far as he's concerned, the stance doesn't apply to managers. "There's no change with me. I distance myself from all that. My job is to manage the team," he said. "I've a relationship with all the players - I don't need a TV camera to talk to them so I'm clear on that front."
