Power: We don't fear Kerry
July 03, 2009
Tipperary minor boss David Power says his side will not in fear of Kerry for this Sunday's Munster MFC final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
Power believes his side are well capable of causing an upset against the Kingdom with the right mindset and performance, but admits that it is going to be a difficult task against the province's kingpins.
"They (Kerry) are going to be extremely difficult to beat, and the task facing us now is to step up our game a couple of more notches on the Cork performance. That is a huge test. We need to assert ourselves quickly on the game, and make the most of possession.
"We have been working on our game since playing Cork to address some weaknesses in our play. The attitude of the lads is very good.
"They know they beat one of the best teams in the country in Cork. They know they are up against another formidable team in Kerry, and they know that last year's Tipp team came quite close to beating them.
"Their attitude is that they respect Kerry, but they don't fear them, and they are ready to give the game their very best shot," he added.
