Mid SHC update

June 12, 2009
There was more action last weekend in the 2009 Tipperary Mid Senior Hurling Championship. A double-header at The Ragg produced some thrilling action, with Thurles Sarsfields and Loughmore-Castleiney taking the spoils. Thurles were up against JK Brackens and led by eleven points at one stage, with Pat Lawlor and Pa Burke netting first-half goals. However, Shane Scully found the range twelve times for Brackens as they battled back to lose by just two in the end, 2-13 to 0-17. Moycarkey-Borris also rallied late against Louthmore-Castleiney before succumbing to a 2-13 to 1-12 defeat. Elsewhere, Seamus Callanan fired 1-6 as Drom-Inch beat Hoylcross-Ballycahill by 2-13 to 0-12 at rainy Boherlahan on Saturday evening. There were also wins last weekend for Kilruane MacDonaghs, Kildangan, Portroe, Burgess and Nenagh Eire Og in the North SHC.
