Thurles to host plump ties in Munster

The redeveloped Semple Stadium is set for a bumper 2009 as all Munster's senior hurling championship matches, with one possible exception, and several football ties have been fixed for the Thurles venue.
With the exception of a Tipperary versus Clare hurling semi-final, which would take place at the Gaelic Grounds, all the rest of Munster's big games have been scheduled for the 'home of hurling'.
No venues for the 2009 Munster finals have yet been set because of the home and away arrangements that currently apply in hurling.
2009 Munster SHC and SFC fixtures
May 24: SFC quarter-finals: Tipperary v Limerick, Thurles; Cork v Waterford, Dungarvan.
May 31: SHC quarter-final: Cork v Tipperary, Thurles.
June 7: SFC semi-finals: If v Limerick v Clare, Ennis; if Tipperary v Clare, Thurles; Cork/Waterford v Kerry, Killarney.
June 14: SHC semi-final: Limerick v Waterford, Thurles.
June 21: If Tipperary v Clare, Gaelic Grounds; If Cork v Clare, Thurles.
July 5: Munster SFC final.
July 12: Munster SHC final.
