Harkins proud of players
November 21, 2008
Drom/Inch manager John Harkins has stressed that the side gave it their all, but it just wasn't good enough in their defeat to O'Donovan Rossa in the All-Ireland club camogie final.
The Antrim side proved to be that bit stronger on the day as they ran out winners by six points, but Harkins is in no doubt that it has been a remarkable year for the club.
"We gave it our best shot," said Harkins. "It was great to be in our first final, and I am very proud of our overall performance. We fought back well after going eight points behind, and it was anybody's game in the closing stages.
"Probably, our inexperience in our first final showed. They were in a final before. We are disappointed now, but, it has been a terrific year for us winning county and Munster finals."
