Cappawhite 2-7 Moycarkey Borris 1-9 Cappawhite claimed the Tipperary Junior A Championship title last Sunday after edging past Moycarkey Borris by a single point last Sunday at Dr Morris Park. It was Moycarkey Borris who made the better start to the match hitting their opponents for 1-2 after 10 minutes of play, with their goal coming from team captain Anthony Healy. Cappa sent over two points in response before corner-forward James Carr hit the net in the 28th minute to leave the game level at half-time. Moments into the game's resumption Cappa substitute Paul Fitzgerald buried a brilliant finished past the Moycarkey Borris 'keeper to put his side into the lead for the first time. From there the two sides traded scores, but Anthony Healy and Rory Ryan had the gap back down to one approaching the closing stages of the game. The trailers threw everything at their opponents but couldn't pierce through one last time and it was Cappawhite who held out for victory to secure the title.
