McNulty assisting Toomevara
November 11, 2008
Former Armagh defender and renowned sports psychologist Enda McNulty is assisting Tipperary hurling kingpins Toomevara in their preparations for Sunday's Munster club semi-final against Limerick champions Adare.
Greyhounds manager Vincent McKenna revealed that McNulty spoke to the players before their county championship games against Loughmore-Castleiney and Thurles Sarsfields, and that he returned for a squad session last week.
Adding that the players had been highly impressed by the 2002 All-Ireland winner, McKenna said: "I've heard five or six sports psychologists before but Enda is a long stretch ahead.
"He's a Gaelic player talking to Gaelic lads and it's all in the here and now. There's none of this stuff about the left side or the right side of the brain and he can relate to the ordinary Joe Soap.
"He's very good and very focussed and has that aura about him. Even on the phone, he's a very down to earth guy."
