John Kiely was full of praise for the ‘attitude’ of his Limerick players following last night’s Division 1A win over Tipperary.
The Treaty County outscored their neighbours by 13 points to five in the second-half at the Gaelic Grounds to make it two wins from as many outings.
“I was very happy with the application, the work-rate even though we got out worked in the first-half,” Kiely remarked to eir Sport shortly after the final whistle.
“We regrouped in the second-half and I think we just got into a groove in the second-half. We defended very well as well tonight and used the space better and our possession better in the second-half.”
He continued: “The attitude was excellent. Once they seized the momentum they weren’t going to let it go.
“Listen, it’s the 2nd of February, there’s nothing won or lost on the 2nd of February but, all in all, I’d be very happy with the attitude of the lads over the last two weeks.”
