Tipperary manager Michael Ryan admits that they need their full compliment back before the start of the Munster SHC.

Tipp face Limerick in the opening round of the provincial campaign and Ryan is hoping to have the likes of Seamus Callanan, Noel McGrath, John O'Dwyer amongst others back in the fold for the clash against the Treaty County.

Speaking to the Tipperary Star, Ryan stated that they have plenty of work to do over the coming weeks even though the players will be with their clubs for the majority of the month.

"We are not the finished article and we need to see more of our missing players on the pitch. We were stretched and it hurt. We became a bit predictable. The good news is that the players are making great progress, but having said that we are heading into unprecedented territory in terms of the club championships," said Ryan.

"I would not underestimate the effort we put into this league. This was the climax day and it has been a long campaign. It has been really good for us, but this was a final and we hate to lose.

"There is nothing in our DNA other than to compete and win these big games."
