In-form Tipperary forward Jason Forde is relieved that he is not been asked to play two games in two days this weekend.

Forde, Paul Maher, John McGrath and Barry Heffernan are all due to line out with UL in the Fitzgibbon Cup final against DCU on Saturday afternoon, while Tipperary play Kilkenny in the NHL on Sunday.

The players could have been asked to play the two games, but Tipp manager Michael Ryan has let them focus on the college game for this weekend.

And Forde is relieved to not have been put in a position where he would have to play two games in the space of 24hrs; thus avoiding the risk of unnecessary injury.

"The big thing is just to stay injury free," Forde told the Tipperary Star. "So playing two games in two days would not be the smartest idea either.

"You don't want to pick up niggling injuries or injuries that are going to hamper you. So, just to stay injury free would be a big thing."
