Tipperary football committee chairman Joe Hannigan is appealing to the county's supporters to turn out in big numbers for tomorrow's All-Ireland Round 3B qualifier against Armagh in Thurles.
Armagh fans outnumbered their Westmeath counterparts in Mullingar last Saturday and Hannigan is eager to ensure that Tipp supporters aren't out-shouted on their home patch.
"Armagh brought 5,000 supporters to Westmeath last weekend. They outnumbered the home team four to one in my opinion," he told the Irish Sun.
"The word is they are coming to Thurles in their droves and many of them will look to stay overnight. We welcome them with open arms and they will bring some splash of colour.
"But we cannot be outnumbered at home anymore. Those days are over, the team is too well-established and too well-regarded around the country for that to happen."
Hannigan added: "We've been at it all week, trying to raise a bit of support. And we will need it all for Armagh."
