St. Mary's Notes 04th August 2008 http://stmarys.sligo.gaa.ie/ Bord na nÓg U-16 - Championship recommences this Thursday with a match against Bunninnadden Training continues on Fridays at 6.30pm. U-18 - The League Final against Bunninadden has yet to be rescheduled. Training continues this week. We play in Group 2 of the B Championship, which commences on Monday 11th of August. Camogie A welcome new dimension to the club is the commencement of Camogie in St. Mary's for the last few weeks after a lapse of over 20 years. Great credit goes to Mairin Laffey, Michael O'Broin and team of helpers. Over 20 girls have registered and are currently in training so hopefully we will see competitive matches for the team in the years ahead. Saturday Morning Coaching Every Saturday Morning between 10.30am and 12pm football coaching takes place for boys and girls aged between 5 and 12. These children are brought through a coaching session that teaches the basic skills required for Gaelic football together with co-ordination and some basic fitness skills. We are fortunate to have very competent and enthusiastic coaches who impart their knowledge weekly. Each session also has a fun element built in and the children love this. We are aware that there are some children and parents in our community that may not know that these coaching sessions take place. We would encourage parents to bring their children along to these Saturday morning sessions and hopefully your children will enjoy the coaching and want to come back. If you want further information, contact Adrian Muldowney (087-6181215), Francis Fidgeon (087-2282218). Senior/Intermediate This weekend is a big weekend for the Club as both the Senior and Intermediate Championships recommence. The Seniors face Tubbercurry on Sunday evening in Enniscrone (Throw-in 6pm). The Intermediates face Enniscrone in Tubbercurry on Saturday evening. We ask all supporters to try and get out and show their support for both sides. Training for both Squads continues this week. Well done Well done to the Sligo Hurling Team on their defeat of Louth in the Nicky Rackard Cup Final on Sunday last. The Club wishes them well as they take on Roscommon in the Christy Ring/Nicky Rackard play off this Saturday. Website The Club's new Website is now live at http://stmarys.sligo.gaa.ie/.
