Sligo minor manager Aidan Rooney is looking forward to having a second bite of the cherry in the Connacht final replay.

Rooney saw his charges battle to the end and a draw was probably the fairest result on the day as the sides must do it all again on Friday night.

The Sligo manager heaped praise on the county's supporters also who he felt played a part in the occasion.

"There was a such a crowd in for the minor match and it was fantastic, the support was brilliant," Rooney told the Sligo Champion.

"We were so happy with the support that we got and it really did lift the lads, we were so happy and it was brilliant to see.

"At the end of the day, there was huge pressure on them. We're just looking forward to Tuam and a far low-key affair. We'll see the same support that we had at the Kiltoom game so the pressure will be off us. We're glad to have another crack at it."
