Sligo forward Adrian Marren is adamant that the belief to go on and win a Connacht title is there.

The Yeats County produced an outstanding display against Roscommon last weekend to book their place in the provincial decider for the first time since 2012.

Marren who was in outstanding form, scoring 1-07 stated to the Sligo Champion that since Niall Carew has come in, he has restored the belief in the side.

"Niall came in this year and his backroom team and they brought in new freshness to the team," stated Marren. It gave us more belief and we knew the talent is there and that we just had to work harder than any other team. That we did and it worked for us."

The sides will meet in this year's Connacht SFC final on July 19th at a venue yet to be decided as Sligo have the choice this year.
