Intermediate:
Sunday evening in a wet and blustery Corballa we played the seventh
round of the division 2 league with Curry as visitors. We played
against the elements in the first half but got on the scoresheet early
with points from John McDonnell and Stevie Kilgallon. This was
followed quickly by a well worked goal for Brian Howley. A number of
Kevin Langan points was followed by an excellent team goal with Kevin
McDonnell putting Niall Judge in for a goal. Just before the half time
break Tom Cawley made a strong break out of defence played a number of
passes and ended up finishing the ball to the net. The halftime score
was 3-7 v 0-3.
In the second with the strong wind behind us it took us a while to get
going but points from Brian Howley and Kevin McDonnell eased us into
the half. Patrick Naughton then broke out of defence and drove a
powerful drive to the roof to the net to make the game safe. Kevin
Langan finished off with a number of points leaving us with a win of
4-13 v 0-3. Team: A.Kilcullen, J.Tuffy, D.Fox, T.Cawley(1-0), M.Foody,

Friday evening at Kent park. At halftime we trailed by 4 points

score two goals to put a big gap between the teams. The lads kept
trying and got some reward when Vincent Howley disposessed the Marys
defence and it made its way to the stork Shane Feeney who dispatched
the ball to the roof of the net. Despite that we lost 3-12 v 1-5.
