Sligo forward David Kelly won't be fit to face New York.

The Yeats County take on the Exiles in Gaelic Park on Sunday and the Tubbercurry man is understood to have lost his race to feature.

Kelly is travelling with the Sligo squad but definitely won't start and is unlikely to play any part in the match.

The news is more encouraging about Eamonn O'Hara, who has made great progress in recent weeks and will play at least a substitute's role in the Connacht SFC opener.

Eugene Mullen, Johnny Martyn and Johnny Davey are also available for selection but David Rooney is staying at home as he has to sit exams this week. Tweet
