Underage Boys Presentation Night: A hugely successful and enjoyable Medal Presentation Night was held last Friday night in the Glasshouse Hotel to honour the victorious double winning U-14, U-16 and Minor Teams of 2011 in what was an historic year for St. Mary's at underage level. A big thank you to all the players and parents for attending. In particular, we want to thank Mickey O'Hehir, Gavin Fox and the Glasshouse staff for the excellent job they did on the night. Also, thanks to Mark Breheny and Johnny Davey for presenting the medals and Hugh O'Neill for putting on a great show. Finally to Delphi Mountain Resort, the Egan Family and everyone who contributed spot prizes on the night.

Underage Coaching: Friday Night indoor coaching returns this Friday night in the Knocknarea Arena at Sligo IT from 6pm - 7pm. The cost is €2 per child.

U-16: U16 Football is starting this Saturday morning, February 4th, with a team meeting at 9.30am in the clubhouse. Wear a tracksuit and runners. Anyone who wishes to play U-16 football this year is welcome to attend. Those that can't make it please contact David Keane on 0868367005.

AGM: The AGM of St. Mary's GAA Club took place last Sunday evening at the Clubhouse. In what was a well attended AGM, most officers were returned unopposed which bodes well for the progress that the executive is making. The secretary and chairman addressed all in attendance reflecting on what was the most successful year at underage level in the Club's history and both looked forward with confidence that the Club can build on these achievements in 2012 and in the years ahead.

Bord na nÓg AGM: The Bord na nÓg AGM will be held this Sunday 5th February at 6PM in the clubhouse. All members are welcome to attend and all underage managers, coaches and mentors are asked to attend.

Pitch-side Signage: Anybody interested in advertising their business on our pitch-side signage please contact Ultan Smith on 086 2587389. The pitch-side signage provides a great opportunity for local businesses to advertise their business in the community at an affordable price.

Club Newsletter: The 5th Club newsletter issued recently and has now been distributed to members and houses in our community area. It must be said that this edition, which has a review of all Club activities during 2011, is the most impressive yet. Great credit must go to Karan Breheny and Niall Murray for their diligent work and all other contributors. If anyone requires a copy contact Kevin Molloy at 087-9066557.

County Scene: Sligo commence their National League Division 3 campaign away to Antrim this Saturday night with Johnny Martyn, Johnny Davey, Mark Breheny and Stephen Coen all part of the Squad. The U-21s are currently partaking in the North West Cup with Niall McManus part of the Squad.

Engagement: Congratulations to St. Mary's Senior Goalkeeper, Brian Collery, and Gemma Sweeney on their recent engagement.

Condolences: The Club expresses sympathies to the Branley, Lynch and Horan families on their recent bereavement. The Club also expresses sympathy to the Flynn family, Kevinsfort Heath, on the passing of Maura Deignan and the Healy family, Strandhill Road.
