NHL 3B: Fingal take the points at Markievicz

Fingal opened their National Hurling League campaign in Division 3B with a win against Sligo at Markievicz Park today, where a late goal from Dara De Burca's sealed victory for the visitors.
The winners led by 0-5 to 0-4 at the break, with Martin Ormonde and Colin Herity swapping score for score, until Fingal began to spread their wings in the second-half against their opponents, who were over reliant on Herity for scores.
Leading by two points, De Burca gratefully accepted Brian McCarthy's pass and dispatched it to the hosts' net with ten minutes to make sure of the points for Fingal. Tweet
