Sligo manager Cathal Corey is hopeful that the county's supporters will come out in force to cheer on the side in Sunday's Connacht SFC opener against London.

The game is fixed for Tony McGovern Park in Ruislip, but there is a sizeable Sligo community in London and Corey would love to see them come out in support of the team. A number of supporters will travel over and the scene is set for an electric atmosphere this weekend.

"Hopefully there will be a good crowd from Sligo over there. It would be nice to see and hear a bit of a roar when we come out. We are really looking forward to it," Corey told the Sligo Champion.

The Tyrone native is not looking beyond Sunday's clash as the winners will face either Mayo or Galway in the provincial semi-final.

"We're not even going passed the ball being throw in at Ruislip, that's the way it is and that's where the focus is and then hopefully if we get over that then we will look forwrd to whatever comes down the line. At the minute we cannot afford to take our eyes off London."
