Abbott Cup success
Congratulations to our Intermediate team on finishing the year on a positive note after claiming the Abbott Cup last Saturday afternoon in Tourlestrane, courtesy of a hard-fought 0-9 to 1-4 win over the home side. In what was the teams first game in three months, they put in a workmanlike display to eventually see of a dogged Tourlestrane with two points in the closing minutes. Well done to all of the players on their efforts this year, and a special word of thanks to Bainisteoir Pat Darcy and selector Karl Finnerty for their commitment to the team all year. Commiserations to Tourlestrane, and thanks to the club for hosting the game and having the pitch in such fine shape for this time of the year. The team from last Saturday was: Mark O'Hara; Josh Ellis, Cathal Mullaney, Michael John Crean; Eoghan Bourke, Keith Carden, Kevin Cawley; Donal Mullaney, Brian Coleman; Mark Caffrey, Mark Gordon, Tom Mahon; Brandon Fitzgerald, John Paul Carden, Shane Hargadon. Subs used: Michael Moyles, Christopher Tuffy, Shane Morrison, Niall Carden
Married vs Singles
We are getting set for another festive cracker next week when we host our annual Married vs Singles match on Wednesday, December 27th at 2.30pm. As always, all proceeds raised will go towards charity. This year, we will also have a game between the Enniscrone Gaelic for Mothers and Others group before the main event. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone on the day for some Christmas fun. Keep an eye on our social media platforms for further updates this week.
Congrats
Congratulations to club PRO David Tuffy on receiving the Cathaoirleach Community Individual award for his extensive voluntary work for several local groups, including the GAA club. Richly deserved.
