Roscommon under-17 manager Liam Tully is confident that his side will not be overawed by playing the All-Ireland football final in Croke Park on Sunday week.

The Rossies will face a fancied Tyrone side on the same day that Dublin and Tyrone lock horns in the senior semi-final.

Croke Park has not been a kind place for Roscommon teams of late, particularly the senior side who lost heavily to Mayo in the All-Ireland SFC quarterfinal replay last Monday week.

"We won't shy away from Tyrone because we deserve to be in the All-Ireland final. Of course Tyrone is a top notch county at underage football," Tully told the Roscommon Herald.

"We know the type of football they play. It will be nip and tuck, but we'll have a go at it. Croke Park won't haunt the players. It's inside the lines that they'll play football not in the stands.

"As a management team, we will be proud of them. They'll do their best. If they do that and they're beaten, well there's nothing more we can do about it. But I'm expecting that we'll have one hell of a go at winning an All-Ireland title."
