Curran: it's a big step up

September 23, 2015

Clann na nGael manager Paul Curran admits that his charges face a mammoth task in Sunday's county SFC semi-final against defending champions St Brigid's.

Having cruised through the group stages, the Kiltoom outfit are once again the team to beat as they are just sixty minutes away from reaching another county final.

Clann na nGael had to dig deep to see off the challenge of Castlerea St Kevin's in the quarterfinal and Curran stressed to the Roscommon Herald that they will have to step up a level to have a chance on Sunday.

"That game only proved what we knew already, that this team is capable of good and bad, and that we have a lot to work on," said Curran.

"We've a couple of guys in their mid-twenties and most of the rest are 22 or younger, so we know that these guys have a big step up to make this Sunday."
