Roscommon under-21 manager Mark Dowd admits that they have plenty to work on before the All-Ireland semi-final.

The Rossies defeated Galway in an absorbing Connacht final last weekend as they defended their provincial title.

Dowd admitted to the Roscommon Herald that despite their display in the Connacht Final, there is room for improvement.

"It was a long time since we had beaten Galway. I really think that this game will stand to us going further. It was great to get a competitive game like that. We didn't get one against Sligo. Maybe that was always a worry at the back of our minds. We were well prepared but we knew that we hadn't come through a tough game like Galway had against Mayo," said Dowd.

"We'll look back on the DVD and we'll see plenty of errors. We do it after every game. We'll sit down and we'll review things, and see where improvement is needed. We'll work on those things over the coming weeks."
