Grogan has eye on the prize

Winning is all that matters for St Croans this weekend.

St Croan's captain Gregory Grogan has stressed that winning is all that matters at the weekend.

Grogan will lead the side out at Croke Park in Saturday's All-Ireland club IFC final against Kerry side Ardfert.

For many, the dream is to play in Croke Park, but Grogan is adamant that at this stage of the campaign, it is all about winning.

"To be honest my attitude is that the game could be played in my back garden. Croke Park has no importance to me. It's about winning an All-Ireland. Hopefully that's the same way the lads are thinking.

"For me it's about 60 minutes of football that must be won at all costs. Croke Park is one of the best stadiums in the world, but the importance of an All-Ireland title rises above everything else."
