Manager Benny O'Brien gives the St Brigid's players a lot of rest to try to keep them fresh.

The Kiltoom men landed their fifth successive Roscommon SFC title over the weekend and O'Brien says the 2013 All-Ireland Club champions are building a head of steam again as their Connacht semi-final meeting with Ballintubber of Mayo looms:

"We had a lot of lads away at the start of the year and we are after getting a few lads back," O'Brien told The Irish Independent.

"The two Sheehy brothers were out of the country. Eoin was in Dubai but he's in Glasgow now so he is available. Darragh is available too.

"Ger Aherne is back and so is Davy Nestor. We didn't have them earlier in the year so they are all coming back. Peter Domican and Jonny Murray are missing but that's it now. We are slowly getting some of them back and that has helped us.

"The key is to try and keep them fresh. We try and schedule the training to keep them fresh because these lads have a lot of miles on the clock.

"You wouldn't train them like most teams train in terms of the amount of running that is done.

"We try to keep them fresh, particularly in the week of a game. We'd do very little and let them rest because with the skill levels these lads have it is a great bonus."
