HL3A: Monaghan off the mark

Monaghan made a worthwhile trip to Woodmount to take on Roscommon in the HL Division 3A.

The visitors bagged their first points of the campaign with a merited four point victory.

Niall Kilroy (Roscommon) and Tony Forde traded goals in the first half and the Farney County led by 1-5 to 1-3 at the break.

The Rossies were back on level terms by the 56th minute thanks to points from Cillian Egan and Kilroy but Monaghan finished strongest with white flags from Hugh Byrne and Brian McGuigan to seal the win.
