St Aidans club notes

May 20, 2012
The Under 16 Team were out in their first Championship game against Strokestown on Saturday evening last in Ballyforan. A great first half which saw goals from Eoin Fallon and Donal Kelly saw St Aidan's lead a tight contest by two points at the break. The second half started off with score for score. Another two goals from Eoin Fallon and Brian Lawlor saw the game level coming into the final quarter. Unfortunately the Strokestown lads found scores just that bit easier to come by and ran out winners by a few points. A good performance from all who turned up and thanks to everyone came to support the lads. They will have another chance of making the Semi Finals but they face two tough games against Castlerea and Eire Og in July. Training continues next Sunday morning.
