Michael Finneran is under no illusions about the challenge facing Roscommon this weekend.

Roscommon welcome Galway to Hyde Park for a mouth-watering Connacht SFC clash on Sunday afternoon and midfielder Finneran admits that Des Newton's men will be up against it:

"It is far from an easy opener but if we want to win Connacht titles we are going to have to play the likes of Galway and be aiming to beat them - or even Mayo, or whoever comes down the line.

"It is a big game for us," he continues in The Irish Sun.

"They were playing at a level above us in the league all year and that is a gap that we need to try and bridge. But we are looking forward to it." Tweet
