Feile Hurling County Final
Following the minor hurling exploits the previous week it was almost too much to wish for another County title on Sunday evening last in Athleague, when the Under 14 hurlers lined out against their great rivals and indeed equals St Dominics. Dominics aided by a strong wind from the factory end rushed into an early three point lead, however Pearses contained the Knockcrockery men well, and on 15 minutes Full forward Eoin Galvin pointed from play and struck the back of the net minutes later to right the ship for Pearses. St Dominicks increased their tally before half time to 7 points, While Daniel Glynn pointed a free just before the break to leave the score Pearses 1-2 to Dominics 0-7 at half time. With the wind behind Pearses in the second half, the under 14s made slow but steady progress against a resilient and stubborn Dominics resistance, with regular scores from Daniel Glynn, Eoin Galvin and Shane Downey. Dominics did score a late goal but Pearses had done enough to hold out as eventual winners on a score line of Pearses 1-12 St Dominics 1-7 Both teams will go on to represent Roscommon in the All Ireland Feile Hurling Competition in Dublin on July 4th to 7th. After the Game Club Minor Hurling Chairman Kiaran Doyle complimented Alan Glynn and his sidekick Tom Costello for a job done to date and wished them well in the upcoming competition. Photos from the Game have been posted to the Club website. Team:Jamie Curley, Seamus Lohan, Lorcan Daly, Oisin Kelly, Mark Haines, Karl Feehily, Lee Clogher, Dylan Johnston, Daniel Glynn, Luke Powell, Shane Downey, Paul Carey, Brian Burke, Eoin Galvin, Oisin Kelly, Aaron Carty, Aaron McGreal, Anthony Kelly, Kevin Kelly, Cian Dunne, Aaron Johnston.

Also on underage Hurling the Pearses Under 16 notched up another good scalp in the Suck valley league when they had an narrow victory over Galway perennials Kiltomer last Wedneday evening in Woodmount.
Senior Football
On Sat evening our senior football team battled to a deserved draw at home to kilbride in the league. after a slow start Pearses went in at the break with a 3 point lead having played with a strong wind in the first half. Kilbride took a 2 point lead with the help of a goal midway through the 2nd half but our lads fought hard to draw level. On another day a superb David Grehan shot in the closing stages would have found the back of the net instead of rebounding off the crossbar. All in all a good performance that leaves the team in good shape in the run up to the 1st round of the championship. The Junior A Team are away to Creggs next Friday evening in Mulhern Park Fuerty.
