Rossies withdraw from JFC
May 09, 2012A proposal was made and backed by delegates at last week's county board meeting just a week before Roscommon were due to play Leitrim in the opening round of the Connacht championship.
The county board proposed that the team be withdrawn as it was revealed that management of the squad would not have access to senior or under-21 players, leaving them considerably understrength.
Ironically, Leitrim have also withdrawn from the competition, whose future is now in doubt. Tweet
