Dineen proud of his players

Roscommon manager Nigel Dineen described his players as "magnificent" after they pushed red-hot favourites Dublin all the way in yesterday's Cadbury All-Ireland U21FC final.
"I'm absolutely delighted with the players,'' he proudly stated.
"This bunch of lads are magnificent, they'd do anything for each other. They're a great bunch and I feel sorry that they haven't met their goal. But they'll be back. Some of them aren't U21 next year and that's hard for them. There's no doubt that they'll move on and a lot of them will play senior football for Roscommon.
"There'll be six, seven, eight of them who will join the senior panel and that'll be good for Roscommon."
The Castlerea man felt Dublin's stronger bench was the difference.
"Their bench was very strong when they came on. They were bringing in big men, one after another, and that pushed them forward," he added.
"After half-time, we went three up but in the end around midfield we were completely out of it for the last 15 minutes. We tried to change it around midfield, tried to get players in there but it was just that the momentum was with them and we just couldn't hold them."
