SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTER-FINAL;
St Brigids 1-09
Clann na nGael 0-07

After a disappointing encounter in Johnstown on Sunday Brigids had too much experience for our neighbours Clann.

A torrential downpour spoiled the 1st half which was domininated everywhere bar the scoreboard by the visitors, Brigids started brightly with points from Cathal McHugh and Senan Kilbride but Clann came back into the game to tie the match at 3 points a piece but this was as close as they would get as an excellent move was finished to the net by Conor McHugh before halftime ; half time score Brigids 1-04 Clann 0-04.

The second half took a similar pattern with Brigids dominating the game around midfield and with Darragh Donnelly holding his own against Donie Shine, Brigids started to pull away an excellent Philip Martin save half way through the half denied Clann the goal they needed to make a game of it and Brigids ran out comfortable winners.
