U21 hurlers bid for final spot

Roscommon under-21 hurlers go into Saturday's All-Ireland under-21 'B' semi final against Meath as underdogs, but dual star Niall Kirby believes that the Rossies can cause a surprise.
Following last week's Connacht 'B' final win over Mayo, which was the fourth consecutive title at this level, Roscommon now can look forward to a meeting against the Royals on Saturday.
Kilroy scored 1-9 in the win over Mayo and at 19; he is emerging as one of the brightest talents at underage level, having been part of the under-21 football squad that lifted the provincial title earlier this year.
The Tremane clubman feels that the Rossies have nothing to fear against Meath, although he acknowledges that it will be a tough match to come through.
"We're feeling confident about our chances but not over confident either," said Kilroy. "Meath beat Kildare so they must be fairly handy. We played that Kildare team at minor level a couple of years and they were a good side. They beat us by five or six points. Any team that can beat Kildare with such a big score must be tough. But there is no point in going in there if we don't believe we can win."
