Under 14s Football
Our Under 14 boys played Boyle on Saturday last in the league semi Final and won by 8 Points. From the Start they played with enthusiasm and within 15 minutes were 1.04 to 2 points up with Donnacha Reilly getting the goal on 7 minutes from a clever pass from Sean Dunne. It was just the boost they needed as Ian Goldrick had to be taken off due to the effects of an illness. Pearses were playing very tidy football and were using the wings to good effect and in the 23rd minute a lovely pass from Adam Finnerty found Sean Dunne who rounded his opposite number and finish the move with a super shot and goal, within 2/3 Minutes Hubert Darcy ventured forward and was in the right place to take a pass from Leon Fehilly and once again hit the back of the net. Half Time Score Pearses 3.05 Boyle 0.02. In the second half Pearses dropped their guard and let Boyle in for a couple of goals but Jake Curley ,Sean Lohan , Paul Whelan , and Sean O Murachada Flynn in goals were not going to be denied their place in the Final and with points from Matthew and Leon Fehilly , Sean Dunne and Jake Curley Pearses can now look forward to a meeting with St Bridgets in the League Final.
