Loughrea to host Connacht Scór Sinsear finals

March 19, 2010
The finest dancers, singers, actors and musicians from throughout Connacht will descend on The Temperance Hall, Loughrea, Co. Galway this Saturday for the provincial final of Scór Sinsear.

Kilglass Gaels will be the first Roscommon team to compete when they take to the stage in the Figure Dancing competition. It will be a big day for "The Gaels" as they are also represented in the Recitation competition by Linda Corcoran and in the Novelty Act Competition

The Mid-South Region will also be well represented in the competition: Joe Cassidy, of Oran, takes part in the Solo Singing contest and the St. Dominics Ballad Group will attempt to follow in the footsteps of their club colleagues who captured the Connacht title in 2007. The Clann na nGael Question Time team will be out to retain their Connacht title and go another step towards capturing All-Ireland honours, a feat they last achieved in 2005.

It promises to be a great evening of entertainment and the competition gets underway at 6pm. A large crowd is expected so competitors and supporters are advised to arrive early. For those who cannot attend, live updates will be published throughout the evening on twitter.com/gaaroscommon

Gaeltacht Grant Competition
